3rd Board & waiting

Do you think that all results are posted? Or do you think some of the colleges are holding out on the results?

He can request a transfer, depends on if the other school has any slots and Cadet Command
I would want to go thru the right channels for this transfer. Should I contact the other school to see if there is slots first then contact cadet command or can i ask for cadet commands instructions for the transfer . I have a poc at cadet command that helped me go thru the process of my sons scholarship application. Should i ask him first?

All the results were posted at once, but this isn't the end. Go get em your freshman year!
Also, contact the school (s) because some schools go through their own board afyer these results are out, usually in May. I don't know how many, but I know some do.

I would check your status again tomorrow, they have been posting all the results at once recently but that doesn't mean that with the last board they may have some they haven't posted yet. You can always contact the ROO from one of the schools to listed to see if they have any information that has not been posted.

The above advice is good, contact your choice schools and let them know that you are still very committed to joining ROTC. Keep your name out in front of them, show up to school ready to do well on your APFT and start the first semester strong. If you indeed did not receive a scholarship this round, soo all you can to give yourself the opportunity to pick up a scholarship from the battalion you decide to join.

Best of luck

When your son receives the official letter, which should be in a week or so, there will be instructions included on how to proceed with a transfer request.

To request the transfer you don't need to "worry about slots". The first thing you need to do is wait until you receive your offer letter or until it is posted and you can download it. Accept the offer to the school you plan to attend if you don't get the transfer and email it back in to cadet command and request your transfer at the same time...include in your email to Cadet Command your desire to transfer and why, and attach the acceptance letter to your school of choice. As a courtesy you will want to contact the ROO at your school of choice and it would be nice to also notify the school you are transferring from once your request is approved (don't want to burn that bridge too soon).

Read through the other thread made by clarkson army, says that results will be announced around mid next week. At this point only the battalions know but they don't have permission to contact the winners (except the ethically challenged ones)
My son checked his status today and his status was "winner". Other than the obvious can anyone elaborate? I am new to this.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice.

First of all, congratulations! Scroll down that same page that said "winner" and it will say which schools and if it is a four year or a 3 year advanced designated scholarship. As far as what to do next a letter should be uploaded to your portal and one come in the mail, but sounds like that takes a little bit, then he can accept or decline the scholarship by the due date. We are new too, but according to past boards he will get about a month to decide. Then he will get a packet to do his DoDMERB medical exams. Basically it will all be outlined in his letter and the ROO at his school can help too. There are a lot of knowledgable people on here who are happy to help but anything specific to the school (some schools offer different benefits to cadets, like room, or room and board), it is always best to go to the source. Again congratulatons, we are all excited here too, it has been an amazing day!

I'm confused. A ROO told me that all the winners were not notified. It may take a few days. Can someone please clarify.
Thanks.

Things change in the process so often it's hard to keep up, just when you think you have a handle on things it changes again. It seems like the last couple board results were updated all at once, that doesn't mean it's the same for this board. Since this was the final board they may be taking a bit more time to get all the results out. Best anyone can do is to keep checking their status until you hear that people are receiving their letters or Clarkson comes on and says all the notifications have been made. I would think a ROO would know more then all of us so only time will tell.

. . . and also log out and log back in when you are checking status so the screen will actually refresh. Made a difference for some last year.

Thank you. I appreciate the information. My son is a leader, scholar, and athelete. He is the Battallion Commander at his school, plays a varsity sport, and went to Boys State and did well on his SAT's and in school. He will be attending Rutgers the #1 school of his choice for he was accepted. He will participate in the ROTC program at Rutgers.

Thanks Flying_duck for posting your results. I checked my DD'portal, and just found out she got a 3 year AD to her 1st, 3rd and 4th choice schools for nursing!

Thanks to everyone for all of the advice and support, it helped with knowing what to expect, and even to know that getting the scholarship is just the first step to a long process, I am sure turning to this board will continue to be helpful for my daughter and her Dad and I.

And to those that do not receive a scholarship, this board is full of people who have experiences where it still worked out great, so please keep the faith!
Our daughter got a nursing scholarship too!! Go Army Nurses!!
