    Blackhawk down...

I am always saddened to hear of crashes with fatalities. I have a Marine son that pilots a helo. Such a waste when we lose these young men.

As for the Afghan "policeman" befriending Americans then opening fire upon them, THAT infuriates me. Little can be done to avoid what basically amounts to a blindsided attack by an apparent ally. Cowardly and a waste of precious lives.

Nothing puts a perspective on the "free" education at USNA like a visit to Memorial Hall.

This news was so disheartening, especially after the two Special Forces soldiers killed earlier in the day. Prayers go out to their families and loved ones. Scout, if you're still there, take care.
