Advice? my 7th semester transcripts just sent out last week due to my schools schedule. I attend a difficult college prep school, have taken 5 AP and several honors classes with high GPA (my school does not weight GPA). I also challenged myself and took additional 4 AP classes this year as a senior, problem is my grades suffered a bit this semester (all B's & an A) with this tough course load. My cumulative GPA still 3.7. My school grades with an 'A' being 93-100. I don't want USMA to think I am slacking off academically with the lower grades, hoping they will consider all the AP classes as well. Should I send my RC an email with my concerns, but don't want to make a big deal out of it either? I have nominations from both congressmen and senator, and otherwise an overall competitive packet but don't want this to alter my packet. ACT 33. Any advice please?

It is what it is. I wouldn't draw attention to it. If you think your classes are hard now, wait until you are taking Calc, Chem + all the others at USMA. It is brutal.

I know the rigor will increase substantially if I am appointed to USMA....I'm okay with that. It's getting an appointment that I am concerned with. Not complaining here, just wondering if I should be proactive in addressing this issue. Thanks for your advice.

I've no doubt they'll take into consideration the fact that there are so many AP courses this semester when they consider your application. In fact I'm confident they'll do that without you suggesting it. They've walked this path before. Relax. Work out. Have fun.

    Milfam4,

When your school sent over your transcript, did they send your school profile along with it? If they didn't, I would have school send them. It will ease your mind.

I think your grades are fine and I wouldn't say anything else about them. You did not slack off. West Point, as well as civilian colleges, want to see that you challenged yourself and took the most difficult classes offered and that's what you did. West Point has been doing this a long time and they take everything into consideration. Don't spend anymore time worrying about it.
