A question about sports

I didn't run cross country (I did indoor and lacrosse), but I'm sure if one guy from a team takes first place with an amazing PR, he's not going to care if the team won or not, he's going to be happy because his name made it in the paper.

I am truly grateful that I have never had 'that guy' on any of my teams.

meh, I guess that'd be interesting to have snow around that late, but I am so in the mood for GEOCACHING. It's not quite as fun when your hand almost freezes trying to sign the log! Plus, Valley Fair and the MOA are calling "roadtrip" as a last hoorah with a few friends! I'd rather have a water-slide and not a luge.

A friend of mine is that guy. He's like #1 in the state in long distance (although on some meets he's #2, but that's only because this other kid and him go head to head all the time.) There are also significant others in my team. One other, another good friend of mine is #1 in the state in 55m hurdles. When the news come out in the paper, it was all about him. (In overall, our team didn't do so hot, but that didn't really matter- we broke some records)
