A question my cousin had about VMI's ratline

Okay, so my cousin Dean is wondering; would it be possible to go to VMI for only one year, (complete the ratline), and then transfer to another college?

I looked up the credit transfers and saw that it's nearly impossible to transfer credits out of VMI, but he was just thinking about going through the ratline with me, and then going to another college for four years. (Expensive, but VMI appealed to him, and he would only be able to afford one year).

(yes, I told him it was Christmas Day, but he was like; post it anyway!)
 
You can certainly do that. It's just a regular ol' school. An odd thing to do but sure. Where did you read credits are almost impossible to transfer?? I think that might be some bad information.
