    Would it be possible for a sticky thread to be created with a list of the pertinent abbreviations, what they stand for, and their significance (where applicable)?

    I've figured out

    MOC=Member of Congress
    NOM=Nomination
    LOA=Letter of Assurance (important because it means you're in if you get a nomination)
    BGO=Blue and Gold Officer (candidates must interview with one to be appointed)
    LOE=
    BFE=

    Oh, thank you. I looked under the USNA section and didn't see it. I didn't expect it to be under general discussions. Someone should think about making it a sticky for each branch where people are probably more likely to look.

    Edit- It would also be nice to have what each one means. For example, what is Induction Day? Actually, when is I-day is probably more appropriate. Does it mark graduation? the end of Plebe Summer?

    I-Day = Induction Day as in the first day of life at the academy (Inducted into USNA). So that is Day 1 of Plebe Summer around last week week of June or first few days of July. USNA wants the new MIDs locked up at the Academy for July 4!
