What are the general academic qualifications to be rewarded with a rotc scholarship?

I understand u have to be accepted by the schools themselves.

is there a cfa or other type of fitness assessment?
    are EC and sports considered?

what are the earliest dates to begin applying for nrotc and afrotc?

First off, only the AF does not tie the scholarship to the college. Navy and Army tie the scholarship to colleges on your list.

Secondly, you will do a PFA, which is similar to a CFA.

Thirdly, EC's matter. That means athletics AND community work or jobs,

The board will look at your application from a Whole Candidate perspective. GPA, SAT, Rank, recs, PFA and EC will be reviewed.

The NROTC application does not require a CFA or PFA. That said, you will need to pass a PFA after you begin college and before you can receive tuition money. Might be a good idea to determine ahead of time whether the physical qualifications are something you able and willing to meet. Good luck!
