Academy Admissions Officer: Boards start on September 28

Hey Everyone,
I just got off the phone with an academy admissions Lt. Col and he says that the boards haven't started meeting yet. In fact, they won't start meeting until next Monday, September 28. I know this seems to be contrary to popular belief on this forum, but I heard this from an admissions officer himself, so I'm assuming it's correct. Just thought everyone might like to know. Hope this helps.
 
That is about the time they started meeting last year.
 
Sounds about right. The year before last, I believe it was Monday the 17th. There never has or will be a set date. A lot is up to the board, how many applications are completed and turned in, number of initial contacts, etc... Best of luck to everyone. Mike.....
 
Ah yes, I remeber this time last year... I was an anxious ignorant highschooler.

I'm going to say this, but you aren't going to listen, cause I got the same advice and didn't listen.


If your application is finished, don't worry about it. Get off these message boards unless you have a legitimate reason to be on...

Enjoy your life as a high school student. It's awesome, and you'll miss it once you get here.

Well...I wouldn't tell them to get off these forums...just don't be too overly nervous/concerned/etc.

they do begin then. i was trying to scheudle EI with my PoliSci teacher and she can't meet cause she's department head and is on the admissions board, so she's busy all afternoon looking through all of your files.

and to think, exacyl four years ago i hadn't even started my application to USAFA... wow where the time goes
