Acceptance of Appointment form

Hey,

A bit of a stupid question, but I wanted to make sure; I'm filling out my appointment form, but it's a little unclear. For those who've received theirs--at the very bottom, right under the "I DO NOT ACCEPT" box it asks for a signature. Am I supposed to sign it regardless of my acceptance, or only if I decline (I'm not)?

Okaydoke. I was just a little suspicious since it seems like a form you'd sign regardless. Guess not.

I also filled out my bank stuff and did so while writing on top of the acceptance form...now the carbon copies have bits of my bank form on them. Whoops. So for people getting their BFEs, pro tip: don't write on top of your acceptance form.

I decided that, not having actually SEEN the form, I should not respond. Surely there is a place for your signature SOMEWHERE on the form.

I apologize for jumping the gun. I recommend you wait for corroboration from someone who knows the form.

Yes, you do sign in this spot. I checked DS's form and his signature is in this box. As long as you DO NOT check in the little box to the left of the statement "I DO NOT ACCEPT..." We keep copies of everything! DS will take a copy of everything he has sent to the Academy, just to be on the safe side.

I called the admission office and they said the same thing. And I keep copies too!

I did. I made the check on the "accept" box extra big, too.

Anyway, I've mailed the forms; so I'll be seeing you guys in June.
