Was informed through my West Point ffo that I received an offer of appointment to USMA! Thank you everyone for helping me through this process. I really appreciate what this forum has done for me. Now i just need to decide.. USNA or USMA...

Congratulations! And I'll give you a hint! You should change your screen name to MaintainingPositiveBouyancy!

Congratulations! My DS still waiting... I am sorry for asking, (still trying to understand nomination process) I saw that you are also accepted to USNA, what kind of nomination did you have for USMA? Senatorial or congressional? Thank you.

Here is what we're really thinking: if you are in our DS or DD's district, go to USNA....opens the slot for those behind you that know they 100% want USMA.

For West Point I received a Congressional Nomination as well as a Senatorial Nomination. It is possible to receive more than one nomination from more than one source. However, from what I have heard, It doesn't make a difference if someone has 3 nominations compared to someone who has 1. If the West Point admissions board deems that the person with 1 nomination is more qualified, they will give him/her the appointment. And its no problem at all! If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Awesome...

What if you weren't the best candidate on the first two slates, but you were the star of the third one?

More nominations doesn't make you more competitive, but it gives you more chances to get appointed before you get moved to the NWL. If you're a pretty good candidate, it can help.

Congratulations!!
