Is it 250 points on ROTC application for SAT/ACT alone or does that include GPA?

IS there a certain number of points awarded per act score? So is a 36, for example much higher than a 35, or is full points if you have over a certain ACT score?

If it is like AFROTC it is a graduated scale. 36 across the boards will get you max points. 36 Composite, where you have a 36 in M, 36 S, 35 R, and 35 E, would get you close to the max, but not the max, because you had 2 35s.

I do not know if that is just ACT or Par included, others will let you know.

For AROTC remember it is not only the score, but your school choices. I.E. Notre Dame is a powerhouse for all ROTC branches. ACT is just a portion of the PAR. Your class rank, your class rigor, and cgpa will also be factors.

ACTs are superscored for AROTC, thus theoretically if you take them enough you can max those points out, but you still have to deal with class rank, rigor and cgpa which can't be superscored. Due to that fact, your PAR would be lower than someone else that is top 1% of their class, every AP available, and a 4.37 wcgpa out of a 4.5 scale.

It is called the Whole Candidate Score for a reason. Each portion of the WCS matters. Strong academically with no ECs will hurt you because they don't want just the book smart kid. They want the kid that can maintain a high caliber academic life while also managing time to be the Capt of a team, President of NHS, and has worked for 3 yrs 20 hrs a week.

For AFROTC a 34, 35 or 36 is full points. It varies a little with SAT scores as a 1510 and up will be the most points you can get.

As always things change. When our DS went through he was told by his ALO ACT and SAT scores were close to max, but would not get Max points. The fact that AFROTC does best sitting maybe why they now are giving max for 34 and up, because it is dang hard to get a perfect for best sitting.

Sorry for hijacking, back on point. Remember AROTC does superscoring so it is to your best advantage to keep taking until you can't don't better.
