What is an average SAT/ACT score in order to accepted into the academy?

Are there exceptions?

600s, and yes there are always exceptions.

My son took sat several years ago and did not do that great, he however has good act scores, and I see that his high school has reported both. I am hoping those sat scores wont hinder him, and they will look at his act which better than average. Does anyone know? Thanks...

The way I understand it, they look at your BEST scores only, whether that is on the ACT or SAT.

True, they take the best overall score, either ACT or SAT, they do not make composite scores based on 1 part SAT and 1 part ACT.
