ACT Writing and Composite

For example, if I get a 23 Composite on the ACT and an 8 writing, then I retake the test and get a 25 Composite and a 7 on the writing, Can I keep my 25 and my 8 writing from the previous test?

The most important answer truly lies there.

If you can't find 17, try 16.

Short answer is Yes, but what Pima is saying is that those scores are not competitive (way below the average).
