ACT

seeing that ur only a sophomore like me? dont just settle with what u have. Practice more and you will probably score better.

my sister took sat several years back and went from 2080 to 2350 the third time

Actually I'm a Junior. And I'm just trying to avoid having my grandparents spend more on tests than they would for college tuition. :yllol: It's a very clever system these college tests are.

thats exactly what my sister did.

my family may have spent around 400 dollars on test prep material over the years, but hasn't paid a nickel towards her tuition at Duke (shes on full ride).

but again when a family income is close to tuition plus room and board for a college, few ppl would bother to apply. financial aid based on need is very sweet for high achievers from not so high income fmailies

So they don't look at reading?
My two best scores were 33 math and 34 reading but I only got 27 on English
I got 730 CR and 690 on math for the SAT so should I retake the ACT for English?

From what I've heard they don't. Which sucks for me as well cuz I got 36 on Reading. But my English scores were pretty good too. I think the decision is up to you. Your SATs are really good so you could just stick with those.

Why do they look at english instead of reading? It seems weird that they would look at SAT Critical Reading more than Writing but ACT English more than Reading.
