If you are active duty USCG and get in the Academy does your time as active duty and time in the academy count for retirement?

No, your academy time does not count toward military retirement. After a little paper work it will count toward federal retirement (provided you work for the federal government).

Your prior active duty time would count.

To expand on what LITS said, your academy time does count toward Federal retirement (not military).
