Hi all,
I am currently an MSIV AROTC cadet that is on a 3.5 year scholarship. I plan to commission this spring however, I have run into a slight roadblock. I have recently been going through a lot of stress due to my studies and role in the program. After feeling stressed out and anxious all the time for about a week I finally caved to the advice of my wife and family members to go and talk to someone. I ended up getting an appointment with a psychologist Thursday and got a lot off my chest. Due to the fact I was paying with insurance, the psychologist pretty much had to diagnose me with something in the system. He ended up diagnosing me with an adjustment disorder and said that he believed I would be over it in 1 to 2 weeks. I have not informed my detachment yet as I didn't think much of it until today when I say the medical standards which state that an adjustment disorder within the previous 3 months is disqualifying. I guess my main question is, how screwed am I? Will this result in a medical disenrollment or will I be given time to get over this hump?
