My DS received his BFE this week out of the blue. He never had a phone call from the MOC, and although he had been waiting and waiting (it seemed), we really weren't sure how long it would take until he heard one way or the other.

The date on the letter was Feb. 12, 2014, which is a Wednesday, so who knows if there is anything to be learned from that or not. I suspect not.

Like most parts of this process, I have learned that just when you think you have it figured out, you don't. LOL.

Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear. Big relief in our house this week.

Has anybody heard of their congressmen or representative contacting them on a Saturday or Sunday? Or would they wait until Monday to inform you?

On December 30th, I received a principal nomination from my congressman to the Naval Academy. Around this time, I received an email from the admissions office stating that a decesion would be made on my file once my 7th semester grades were sent in. My 7th semester grades were processed by USNA on Wednsday, February 19th. Any idea on when I should hear from the Naval Academy? Thanks.

My BGO just informed me that the Admssions office has been moving very slowly as a result of the weather. Hang in there everyone! She also informed me that the Admissions Board will begin meeting twice a week, but is unsure when this will occur. Anyone know when the Board begins meeting more frequently? I highly suggest that the candidates contact their admissions officer. My DS emailed his several times throughout the waiting period. She was a helpful, authoritative source of information! DS gave her updated information every 6 weeks or so and she always replied quickly to his questions. DS's BGO changed twice from when he started this process in July even though his package was complete in September. DS got his appointment last week!
