My junior year I took the ACT, and got a 21 English, with an 8 in writing (I know, not up to USMA standards). however, I practiced my English and pulled it up to a 26 (miracle). But, when I got the 26, I didn't take the writing, as I thought an 8 should suffice. Now I'm stuck in a bad situation, as my eng+wri is only a 21... My question is will the admissions officers see this 21 combined, and automatically disregard me, or will they see that I have a 26 and 8 on separate occasions and realize that I did indeed improve and that my 21 is really a bad indication of my current eng/writing skills.... I'm a senior in hs right now, so I can't take it again. My comp is a 28, with good EC's and a Good CFA, I'm just really starting to stress, as I'm sure everyone applying for the class of 2018 is. Thanks.

You should contact your regions technician who handles all files Qs and scores. Or your field force rep/liaison. If you have both scores provided, it should be okay however when they compute your WCS, they have to have the ACT with Writing scores. So I think they would take your 21. But you can ask!
