Admissions question

I was turned down by USNA this past application year and I plan to reapply. The university that I will be attending has an ROTC program and I have been told that they will be giving me a scholarship in my first semester in return for me contracting. If I contract with ROTC (ARMY) and get into USNA or USMA will my contract be broken to allow me to attend or will I be contractually obligated to continue with ROTC and turn down the appointment?
You all have beeen very helpful and I and sorry that I have a question that seems like it doesn't even need to be asked but I don't know if the service academies have the power to break contracts.

You can leave ROTC for a service Academy appointment.

I've had 5 Cadets in the last 10 years leave our program and their scholarship to attend USMA. relatively simple process.

Don't be surprised if you decide to stay on the ROTC path. Keep an open mind.
