Advice for Early High School Graduation

I am currently in a program in my high school which allows you to graduate one whole year early if a higher education institution accepts you, which in this case would hopefully be Naval Academy. Grades are not a problem, but I haven't taken the SAT or ACT yet. My main concern is that I think I am in a clear disadvantage compared to others who went through the entire 4 years of high school. I'm also worried that I will not be able to attend the summer seminar of 2013, since I will only be 16 at that time. Is there any advice or suggestions someone can give me?

You must be 17 on I-Day. That's the law and is not waiverable. Folks have been in your situation before -- I think USNA recommends spending the year in college. You might check with one of the regional directors.

When I graduate from high school in 2014, I will be 17. But that leads me to wonder whether or not I am eligible to attend the 9-day session they have for juniors at the Academy.

If you're talking about NASS, you only need to have completed your junior year in HS. No age specification here. Assume they look at your dob to ensure you'd be eligible for I-Day in the ensuing summer, which you indicate you would be. In your case, that may mean being deemed a senior at the conclusion of that school year prior to NASS 2013.

Not sure when you discuss a "9-day session they have for juniors" to what you are alluding. NASS is only 5 I think.

Yup, that's exactly what I was talking about. I'm guessing NASS means Naval Academy Summer Seminar. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
