So, my son will be taking the NROTC route for now. His "thin envelope" letter said to perform well in a strong college program if he is to re-apply for USNA. He plans to hit the ground running! I feel that he will!

Could we have some advice and/or direction on the USNA re-application from college process and how it differs from application right out of high school?

It differs very little if at all. He will still have to go the the process of gaining a nomination and taking the CFA as well as recommendations from instructors, etc. Basically the only difference is on the applications he will sub college courses for high school ones. I'm not sure if he must re-submit a high school transcript. The process if pretty similar. No easier no harder.
