THe AFROTC detachments at each school is about the same size. Which schools seems to have more AD officers and therefore the stronger network?

Six in one hand, half a dozen in the other. There is no way to answer that question without serious research or pure speculation.

Suffice it to say, you won't be the first person from either Texas A&M or VMI to go into the Air Force. The schools are quite different, so you should go to the place that you like the best. :thumb: If you go to A&M, however, you'll have to wear the hideous boots. Just teasing......)

Neither school is going to be like USAFA as far as the size of an alumni network on active duty, but you'll meet plenty of folks from each college.

Son is hoping to get into USAFA next year but the SMC's are his plan B. Question is simply a curiosity. The detachments are about the same size but A&M has provided us with an estimated number of officers that commission that is quite a bit higher than the VMI estimate. The difference is large enough to get my attention.
