Some great games in the past weekend, and some big ones coming up this week. What's your gut telling you? Mine says:
- Patriots over Colts. But I'm not too certain as the Pats got about 20 yards total rushing this past weekend.
- SeaHawks over Packers. Rodgers just isn't the threat that he normally is with the bent wheel while Seattle came alive at the end of the season.

And tonight: Sorry Scoutpilot, but Oregon is gonna explode on Ohio State and is gonna beat em up pretty handily.

It's not Gospel- dissenting opinions encouraged ! What do you forecast?

Buckeyes will win! IF Defensive Coordinator can simplify the defense and get the calls in quickly. Will be a great game but Urban is the difference. Buckeyes win a thriller!

I would agree, although I think might be closer between Oregon and Ohio State, but I think Oregon will come out on top.

The playoff format has definitely got the banter going at my office. I was talking to a guy at the office who is a big Buckeye fan on the way out of the men's room today asking him where he was watching the game when from inside one of the stalls a duck call was heard...

Even he doesn't think OSU will win..

Might have to quickly change my bet after watching the first quarter.

Well- Sadly I could only stay awake till half time , but it seemed pretty clear by then that I was calling that one wrong. Congratulations to Ohio State , to Urban Meyer and most especially - congratulations to Cardale Jones who has to be the "man of the hour"- Thirdstring QB who lead them to the National title. That is the PR guy and coaches dream. Great game (from what I could see) by a great team. And the final bit of joy for the football world-it was a non-SEC team! ESPN will be forced to actually think about a couple of other conferences next season! A win all around despite my predictions!

Well, let's just assume that you will be wrong about this one, too, Bruno!

Sorry stealth but I wouldn't expect lightning to strike twice!: Though as a Patriots fan I would rather face a crippled Rodgers than a healthy Wilson.

Holy Smokes- that Packers/ Sea Hawks Game was unbelievable. I wouldn't want to be the Packers tight end who couldn't field that on-side kick. What a game- sloppy, but just edge of the seat exciting. I have to confess to posting at around the 4 minute mark talking about the Sea Hawks lack of offense, and then deleted less than a minute later as OBE. Now I am keeping my fingers crossed for the Pats!

Green Bay - OUCH!!!! You have to play the whole game.

There must be a lot of happiness in the Jcleppe household right now!

Pats certainly fulfilled my hopes tonight- that was a serious beat down. Whew- long day of riding the recliner watching Football! :)

It was 16-0 late in the first half heading for a blowout, and Seattle just had its first pass completion, so I went to the gym. Did I miss anything?

Woooo Hoooo..........Pass the heart medicine.

I guess so! I hear that the average life expectancy of men living in the Pacific Northwest took a 5 year decline as a result of the stress of last night! However, games like that are what makes sports interesting- you can be getting beat up for the first 56 minutes of a 60 minute game and then - the last 4 minutes changes everything!. Russell Wilson is a pretty classy guy and it seems to me that he is like a younger Brady- the ability to find a way to win even when it is is ugly (Unlike Brady though- he doesn't have Giselle to fall back on when things finally go south for him!) Should be a good SuperBowl game.

And now "inflate-gate"... Gimme a break. Unless the refs were in on it, both teams played with the same footballs on the same field...
