AFOQT Scores

My DS had almost the identical scores of UMDTOUSAFA. He was a nontech major. I don't think when he took it they had the ABM portion.

It will be interesting to see how or if the ABM score will impact the rated board selection.

Son's scores from 2010:

Pilot 97
Navigator 99
Academic Aptitude 96
Verbal 83
Quantitative 98

No ABM section on his. It must be a newer category.

My son is a 300 right now and has a package in to compete for a rated slot. He was selected for a FT slot last summer as a non-tech non-rated. His AFOQT scores are just about 2 years old now come March.
Pilot 90
Navy 98
Acad. Apt. 97
Verbal 90
Quantitative 98
No ABM score for him either

The ABM score is a combination of the AA with some other factor.

You can look up your ABM score in the same website you look at your PCSM

Hey Cannonball, I scored a 87 Pilot, in reality your pilot score is all that matters for pilot slots for the AFOQT. Additionally at my Det (for my year), all who received pilot slots, had AFOQTs of 55+. Previously though it was not uncommon to get a slot with 25+ depending on other stats and hours. One hour can make the difference between getting a slot and not. Keep that in mind.

Had AFOQTs, or PCSMs, higher than 55?

My Det didn't do too well last year with a 75% selection rate, and we have even more people competing and going to the rated board this year.

I was thinking the same thing because the PCSM is where flight hours come in to play.

My det submitted 6 people and 5 got a rated slot. So our numbers weren't too bad. I heard this year will be much better but nothing yet. Just waiting patiently.

It will be interesting to see because the rated boards will release right after ADAF releases OTS rated board. LY very few got Pilot, according to another forum they are saying the pilot slots will be increased greatly. Remember there are two rated OTS boards scheduled for the year.

I believe the score out of 99 is a percentile compared to a control group that the Air Force deemed to be representative of a large portion of cadets. Not a percentile compared to the rest of our class. Also someone asked for more AFOQT scores:

Pilot:97
Nav:81
Acad Ap:98
Verbal:95
Quantitative: 96
