AFROTC--2016 EADs

The changes are interesting bc there were 2 ARMs messages in April and May saying "FY16 commissionees will be called to EAD before the end of the FY. Those not requiring PCS for IFT will be called to PCS immediately after commissioning."

Yeah and it's those emails that have me thinking we are all going earlier. I have friends that are rated that have already gone on AD that have no security clearance. So it makes me think this manning crisis is real and they really are trying to get us all in this FY. As far as I know those messages weren't retracted either and that's a pretty bold statement to make for it not to happen.

It looks like maybe the RPA world might be getting back on track from a manning perspective. Del Rio aka XL had drop night for XL 16-13. No RPAs dropped. Now were there any dropped for XL 16-12.
~ The importance of this is that they said the entire FY16 yr group would have 2 RPAs out of every UPT class. or @100 between Columbus, Del Rio, and Vance. Only ENJJPT was excluded from this mandate.

Now, do not confuse that with shorter casual status times for the rated world, but hopefully the RPA world is back on track for retention aspects.

Called my NCOs last Thursday and found out I went from Mid April to Sept 30! Got orders cut to me the day after. There may be new updates today as my NCOs advised to call the 1st and 15th of each month to see any updates.

That is not unusual for pilot. They want you to be in FY16, not FY17. The thing is for pilot that does not mean your UPT class will be pushed up and you cna spend a long time casual. Which UPT base are you going to?

~bump~
A few Sept EAD days for several folks here...Intel/pilot/CE/62E. Will get more tmrw.

Word on the street was that AFPC decided to move up around 150 student pilots from ROTC to Sept 30. I assume that they needed people to fulfill the manpower end FY number. I know a couple RPA people got bumped up but also got pushed back. Intel has yet to change.

The AF wants 317k apparently by the end of the FY and I don't think we are even close.

Interesting. And yes- we moved several people with 2017 dates to Sept of those AFSCs.

I'm also getting this vibe. Have read a few articles stating the same.

Well it's the 15th so if we don't hear anything about changes today then we won't hear anything until next month right?

"Congratulations on your upcoming commissioning next week. We know that you have an awesome internship lined up this summer and are waiting for your EAD next May. But your EAD has been moved to three days after commissioning and here are your orders. Go." - Cadre to my friend.

Anything can happen in the Air Force especially if they want to shove as much people in the manpower numbers before end of fiscal year.

It would seem some Intel folks were moved up so here's to hoping for everyone.
