Same here. My interview was late though, around February 10th I think.

Very true. I would rather not hear anything than get a denial. Was your interview late?


Also, has anyone tried to call the help number on the letter confirming that our applications have been received.
 
Things change every yr., but in yrs past the complete packet had to be in their hands by a certain date prior to the board.

There is alot that occurs behind the scenes regarding preparing for the board. That is why they have a firm date.

I want to say it is about a week, it could be 3 days, but you get the drift. I.E. if the board meets Mar 27th, it had to be there by Mar 20th for them to even place you in the pile, and you would be on the bottom of the pile ... First In First Out (FIFO)

Remember the board meets for X amount of days, and even if you get it in on time, the pile could be so large that they didn't get to you...FIFO, thus you will be on the top of the pile the next board.

I never got a letter confirming my application. When did you get that?

Perhaps he is talking about the letter that they sent out months ago(well, I got mine in late December or early January so i suppose it wasn't THAT long ago even though it sure feels like it)when the online application and all supporting documents were submitted saying that someone would contact you for an interview. If not then idk what he's talking about either

My interview was during the week of February, 2012

My processor at Maxwell AFB sent me an email last month, unfortunately, I did not save it. He informed me that the March board (18th?) would review my application and to expect results around the 28th (if I recall the date correctly). Time will tell.

Right now, I'm having a great time finishing up HS ...no senioritis for me!
 
To all candidates keep every correspondence, and print hard copies too, even if it an email.

Create a folder so you can easily refer back to the date, time and person.

Remember, the AF will PCS people, and the processor in charge today, may be gone tomorrow. That means they may not have a clue about what their predecessor did, and will need you to fill them in regarding facts.

I got it after all of my online applications were submitted. It basically said that I will be contacted to schedule an interview with a local detachment. There are also some dates on there about when the boards are and when the expected results will be out.
 
Still no mail and no change on my applications tracker. I'm assuming my application will be evaluated during the 4th board. I hope.
 
Yeah, good point. Have either of you contacted anyone or anything? I just hope that something didn't go wrong and we will be reviewed during the forth board.
