AFROTC AFSC Rated 2012 is out

Good luck. Actually for the rated board it was delayed, a few days. It was supposed to have been released last Friday.

The kicker was the results were released for the West Coast on Tuesday, basically the list came down after 4 EST. Thus, dets on the East Coast found out on Wed.

So do you mind sharing what you put on your 53?

I also agree that if you put CRO and STO together 15 is alot...than add in ALO's that would bring the number to the exact same as SPs.

I am curious to see why this large amount.

Maybe you can answer this, do helo pilots go under the pilot slots? If so I wonder if helo's also got a bump in numbers.

OBTW if you see my munchkin wandering around tomorrow tell her Mom says happy b'day. I know her 2 bffs live in your dorm, so when she isn't at AJ she is in your dorm. Off topic, but 1 perk for ROTC cadets at VT is they have their own dorm, so they never have to worry about housing shortages, like many colleges.

I dont know about helo slots. Probably a question better put to someone who's currently at UPT. Id imagine if the spec ops are getting beefed up that would mean increases in helo slots as well as AC/MC-130s. ALO is another one that I was suprised to see there. I guess they took the rated requirement off that AFSC.

My dreamsheet looked like this:
1) Intel
2) Space/Missile Ops
3) ALO
4) Sec Forces
5) Maintenance
6) Acquisitions

There really aren't a whole lot of options open to non-tech majors...I can see why they give out so many scholarships to the engineers.

What company does she have friends in? If its mine, I'll be sure to keep an eye out.

Our DS wanted Intel or ALO also if he didn't get rated.

The ALO wasn't a shocker because Bullet was an ALO at Bragg. Not that it was about walking in Dad's shoes, but the attitude of if I am going to serve in the AF I want to be in the thick of things.

Bullet's ALO tour was one of my favorite tours. It is a very tight knit community. To me that was an insane wake up call of the inner workings regarding the military.

People should know ALO in these terms is not ALO in AFA terms. They actually go front line with the Army and call in the air strikes for troops pinned down in the fight.

Jump ALO (Bragg) is all volunteer. They jump in with the Army, but with their AF team (usually 1/2 officers, the rest are enlisted, some have also done Ranger school). They are the ones to call in the coordinates for where they want them to attack.

It was an ALO that called out to the F15E to come in and support a British team. The person who called out to the ALO for the F15E's was pretty famous. His 1st name is Harry...last name Windsor aka Prince Harry.

CRO and STO are Combat Rescue and Special Tact.

In essence Rangers/Seals for the AF
