When do AFROTC cadets typically first take the AFOQT?

    Freshmen year?

Everyone takes it freshman year. Doesnt matter whether youre on scholarship or not. Your can choose to keep your scores or take the test again junior year

If you take it again Junior year is that score final? I've heard before that you can only take it twice.

Thats true. You can only take it twice and if you do take it a second time then you have to use the scores.

DS took it in October of his freshman yr. He was happy with his scores, so he will not be re-taking them. I believe they announce the cut-off scores needed for pilot slots
