AFROTC Board Results

Congrats to all of you getting good news today.

Patience to those who are getting reboarded.

For those of you that are not granted scholarships but have it in your hearts to become AF officers remember...where there's a will there's a way!

Awarded a Type-7 (Technical Major)! :thumb:

ACT: 28
SAT: 1630
GPA: 3.8
Class Rank: Top 10%

ACT 33
SAT 2150
GPA 3.5 (private college prep school)

Re-boarded... ack!
Very frustrating as it really impacts what school DS chooses, I guess we have to wait till April.

(Merit scholarships to Erau, Arizona state, Arizona, and Marquette)

lcdrmom, out of curiousity what major is your DS applying as? I'm re-boarded 31 ACT with 3.77 unw GPA, applying for Russian Language.

His majors are aerospace or computer engineering.

He's also a nmsf.

So I guess we'll wait for next board results in April. We're also waiting for word on his academy application. Hope this doesn't mean bad news is coming there as well.

My DS reboarded as well

32 ACT, 720 math/640 verbal on SAT
3.99 gpa, class rank 10.
9 varsity letter/ captain football-wrestling

Computer Science/Computer Engineering

And the waiting continues.......:frown:

It doesn't seem like many scholarships are being rewarded...not feeling too hopeful at this point

DS awarded Type 7 today.

770 Math / 580 Verbal
3.98 GPA
Class rank 17 out of 568

Awarded Type 7 today!! I'm so greatful!
1840 SAT -(on the lower side)
Excellent grades and leadership at a SUPER competitive school

Congrats to all who received good news today!:thumb:

Best wishes to those who are still waiting!:smile:

Congrats to all. I remember when DS got his scholarship all so long ago it felt like a weight was lifted off our chest and we could breathe easier.

Now, remember come Aug/Sept the slate is wiped clean. The cadre does not care if you have a scholarship and nobody talks about which cadet is on scholarship and which is not. They do talk about how well you did on your first PFT.
~~~~ There will be cadets that will not get a scholarship and are motivated even more to get an ICSP.
Have the award way back first board from the portal but have not gotten the packet by mail yet. However I have the email from NC saying that the award presentation form is due APril 04. Does anyone know when the deadline for acceptance is due?
I would contact Maxwell Monday for verification that they have sent out your acceptance packet.
My DS is in the same boat and received the same email. If I remember correctly I think they handed those out about 3 weeks ago. They said that it would be about a month before the paperwork would come in the mail so I'm thinking you should see it in the next week or two.
Portal updated at 2:08pm Mountain Time yesterday (3/7/14) and said Congratulations, 4 year Type 7. No specifics (school / major), only a reference to webpage on AFROTC site detailing what a Type 7 scholarship is and said more specifics would come via mail in a few weeks. No email received. Now the portal is back to the original message (not sure what that means).....so no proof at all anymore:confused:
DS is still waiting to hear about admittance to several schools (private schools...MIT (deferred from EA), Duke, Stanford, Vanderbilt). Accepted to SMU, ERAU (Daytona), ASU (all with merit scholarships).
3.97 GPA
35 on ACT
technical major (engineering - electrical or mechanical)
3 year varsity baseball player / captain Sr. year
That's Odd
DS AFROTC portal informed us that he had not received a scholarship during the January board, but would be reviewed during the March board. That was Friday. Now the message has returned to the original that says his information will go before the January board and he will hear back by the middle of February.
Does anyone have any insight on when they will be releasing the rest of the board results?
His application went before the January board, and he was told that he would be notified by end of February. There is still no update nor change in his portal information. There is just the generic notice on the log-in page "Air Force ROTC scholarship board results will not be released as scheduled due to the ongoing national budget debate."
At what point should he perform a query regarding the status of his application?
MombaBomba,
Several of us saw a temporary status change on the portals Friday afternoon, but it's changed back now to the original text....I suspect it will straighten out Monday I am hoping.
If you didn't login during a short period Friday, you probably just missed it.
I sent an email already inquiring about it. Will post any reply here as soon as/if I get one.
