Hello everybody,

I have my AFROTC Interview scheduled for next week. Can someone please explain to me how the "board" for these scholarships works and if I will be considered for this first board or not? Furthermore, any advice for the interview itself?

Thank you!

If my memory serves me correctly, the first board is Dec 8, so you will probably just miss it. I'm not sure when the next one is.

I read in another board that the next one is January 5th and that the deadline for it is December 24th.

Look online for the officer's interview forms. Humongous help.

The board consists of officers, usually Lt. Col. They will give you a score. The score consists of your academics (cgpa, SAT/ACT, class rank, etc), ECs, Interview and PFA. From there they will determine what type of scholarship if any you will be awarded. They might decide that you are on the cusp and reboard you, so if they tell you no decision has been made at this time, don't assume that they are not going to give you a scholarship. They might want to see a larger pool before awarding the scholarship.
