AFROTC Letters of Recommendation

I was look at the AFROTC scholarship application and I saw nothing pertaining to letters of recommendation. Are letters needed? I'm so confused. :confused:

Where are you at in this process?

Phase 1 or 2?
 
I would guess Phase 1. I am still getting all the paperwork like the Councilor certification form and Activities Form filled out
 
My son did not need any ref letters for af or army rotc scholarship process - believe he just followed the instructions on the websires
 
No letters of recommendation required, even though I did take a couple to my interview. I have already completed the whole application/interview process, now just waiting for the first board in December. Got my fingers crossed, looks like it's going to be a tough year!
