I just contacted the Dets I was interested in off their websites. They can get you started. Or you can talk to a regional director: https://www.afrotc.com/contact/rep

My son was in the same position I highly, highly recommend contacting the AFRotc group and talk to them about joining as a college programmer. My son was picked up as a college programmer in May (Go Gamecocks!). He starts college the same time as those on scholarship. I know Iowa State is very proud if all their Rotc programs!

@JakeReitz In the past y0u have shown interest in Navy and the Marines. Iowa State has NROTC and here https://www.navy.iastate.edu/about/college-program/ is information on their NROTC college program application process. I do not know what your motivation is for ROTC, scholarship, service to country or desire to be an officer is a specific branch, but you may want to evaluate the ROTC options at Iowa State and determine which is best for you. Call the units. Get a feel for each one and ask them about their success rate for getting college programers a scholarship.

Emailing is your best bet. The cadre will fill you in on the details pertaining to Iowa State.

After getting a TWE from USNA and getting turned down by NROTC/MO, my DS went to Army ROTC without a scholarship ( never appled for AROTC scholarship in HS) and was awarded a 3 year after three weeks into his freshman year.

If you work hard you may be able to earn a campus based scholarship.

+1 for @gokings814 If a ROTC scholarship is your primary driver seriously consider Army ROTC. I have do not have any statistics to back up my opinion, but I would think Army ROTC would be the easiest of the services to be awarded a scholarship.

I would agree, 5day, but I do know @kinnem's DS did receive a NROTC/MO "sideload" scholarship in similar fashion

Ive only applied for the Navy before. For me, the importance is serving. I want Air Force or Navy, no other branches. I will be sure to check whats best, Thanks!
