My DD "reboarded" status was changed this morning to "Scholarship Offered". She also received an email saying she was awarded a Type 7, Technical major. Very Excited. Now we just have to wait.....she was DQ by DoDmerb for her AROTC scholarship. Still waiting on that waiver. Now we have to wait on the AFROTC waiver.

Time to bubble wrap her...let her have fun water skiing over the summer, but maybe just not going over the highest ramp!
I would also have her continue to work out all summer long, or at the very least a month prior to entering. The PFT will be given within days of arriving and she can't contract without passing the PFT. On top of that it is the true way to shine in the beginning.
~ Nobody in the unit will care or talk about which cadets are on scholarship. They WILL talk about the 100s that maxxed or failed the PFT.

Type 7 here also this morning. But nothing will drag him from the USAFA Class of 19

DS awarded type 7 AFROTC yesterday. We are beyond thrilled. We hope it won't be hard to convert type 7 scholarship into type 3. My son wants to attend ohio state--which is out of state for us.
