It came really late, I was waiting on a rejection letter but I ended up getting the notification the day before my birthday. Sweet!

Question- I was only accepted to one of the colleges I put down for the scholarship. They didn't specify a college in the forms I got- does this mean my scholarship applies to any college I had listed?

Also, when do you need to be medically qualified for ROTC?

Congratulations!!! :yay: My daughter's didn't specify either. I don't think AF assigns you to a school the way the others do (even though you list a preference, I think).

You'll be contacted by another party (Concorde?) for the medical evaluation. When DD was awarded the scholarship, she didn't have to do anything as she’d already had the physical for her SA applications.

Congrats caitvvw!

Your AFROTC Scholarship is not restricted to any one school. If you have been admitted and the college has the "Type" major that you have been approved you can use the scholarship there (providing of course that the college offers AFROTC). So in effect you can use it at the one college on your list that you have been accepted or any other college that you have been accepted and also has AFROTC. The college does NOT have to be on the list that you submitted with your AFROTC application.

You need to be qualified before the scholarship can be used. Generally that would mean that you would want to be approved by DoDMERB before the end of August. You should be receiving your DoDMERB / Concorde paper work within the next week or so to begin the fun process of getting medically approved. Don't delay...it often takes months.

Congrats again and good luck.

Congrats Cait! My DD also received a AF Scholarship, Type II. She plans on attending Embry Riddle, Daytona, as a Research Meteorology major.

I was wondering if anyone else was doing the same major here. I'll be heading down there as well on a 3-year Type II.

Congrats to you guys on getting the scholarships!
