AFROTC

And then there are clubs. Don't know about AFROTC, but I expect they are comparable to NROTC. Cockpit club (Naval Aviation), Boat Crew (SEAL PT), Drill Team, etc. Most kids are in at least one in DS's unit and sometimes 2.

Kinnem,

I agree there are also clubs and they will vary det to det.

JMPO,

I think if an AFROTC cadet is in any military fraternity doing a club, ROTC and carrying a strong cgpa will be hard, hard, hard.

The hours needed will make you prematurely gray! :shake:

You should decide which is best for you if they have both clubs and organizations. Do not join everything and anything as a fall semester freshman. IMPO it is akin to going to a Chinese Buffet and putting too much on your plate, not ever able to really enjoy what you are experiencing.

It may be best to join a club, and than join an organization.

DS pledged his spring semester freshman yr. He got accustomed to his college and ROTC life. Met his peers in ROTC and than decided.
