AIM Tomorrow!

On the way to the airport finally to drop off DD. cant believe time has come already. Good luck everyone! Week 2, here we go....

I'm not sure if others noticed, but the USCGA PFE standard picture that Paul Duddy posted is slightly different from the PFE scoring table we all got on the USCGA website. For example, DD is doing about 20 push-ups now, which was 65 on the table given on the website. Here, it says only 60. On the other hand, she ends up with a higher running score with this table. I wonder which table we could rely on when determining the scores.

This is the chart they used to calculate our scores so I'd say use this.

Hmmm that really makes us curious about the rumor of AIM becoming physically easier this year. Any insight from the week1 aimsters or their parents?

I was told they made the program a bit easier, but it still seemed challenging to everyone and there were some injuries so I think they've found a nice balance now with no one dropping out.

For those of you attending week 3, my DD just came home from AIM last night sick. There's a bug going around now and many of the AIMsters got sick and some of the cadre were sick too. Kids will also end up sharing towels and water bottles unknowingly. Load up on vitamin C if you can. They really might not even have time to take them, so tell them to gargle often even when taking showers at least. Week 2, there was one drop out after a few hours, and some injuries. Overall, not too bad. Good luck week 3!

Thank you Paul Duddy!!! I've found session 3 pictures, some with my daughter in them. Now I know she survived the first two days! Turns out, she graduated and her company won the engineering competition. So excited to pick her up at the airport tomorrow and hear all about it!
