What are the chances of being accepted to AIM off the wait list?
I can't speak for admissions but there are 500 slots. I would guess it depends on how many kids don't accept their slot. The deadline to accept is May 18.
Thanks for the info.
My daughter Already registered for AIM, but we can sort of see what's going on through bear's den. there's a first-come-first serve sign-up for week 1-3. It looks like week 1&2 are already full. There's still room left for week 3. If, for some reason, many that still haven't registered can't make it to week 3, 7/17-22, and you just happen to be free, you might still have a chance??? I'm just guessing though.
How can one sign up for week three? The notification for the wait list clearly states not to contact admissions.
You sign in to your account and go to the link in your acceptance letter to sign up. I believe after u press link then press AIM and the 3 weeks come up and click register for week 3
Thanks for the heads up! That's encouraging. Good luck to everyone on the waitlist!
Sorry, maybe my explanation wasn't clear. Those who were accepted to AIM are the only ones who can sign up right now. I was just saying that if some of the people who were accepted (and still haven't signed up) realize that week 3 doesn't work out for them and that week 1&2 are already full, then wait listed people might have a chance later for week 3. I didn't mean for the waitlisted folks to sign up now, just the chance might be there later for week 3. Hope this makes sense?
Blueman, can you tell how many spots for week 3 are showing as still open?
Sorry, the only thing I can see is that the other two weeks says "accepting waitlist" since they are full, and week 3 still says "accepting registration."
I JUST checked again right now to be sure. There are still spots left for week 3 as of now. Hope that helps!
Why is there a wait list if there are persons willing to go?
Is there anyone on the forum, that may have experience or knowledge with/about the AIM wait list? Any idea how many kids are wait listed/ Any idea how many spots are actually open? Will it become 'rolling admissions' until June 2 or do all the wait list acceptances come out together? Will choices be made by lottery? Blueman - thanks for keeping us wait listers hopeful!! Wonder what "accepting wait list" VS "accepting registration" means ?
Any idea how many will be called from the wait list?
Has anyone been called from the waitlist?
Nothing yet. But I believe today is the last day to make payment (for those already selected). My guess is that unpaid spots will probably open up to waitlisters tomorrow, which is why the letter said we'd hear by June 2.
Nothing yet here either...
