Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. The Air Force offers diverse career tracks. With every organization there must be a wide range of opportunities and support functions. The Academy graduates officers every year into numerous career fields including of course pilot. Pilots will incur a 10 year commitment, Navigator/Air Battle Manager 6 year commitment, and all other careers will incur a 5 year commitment upon graduation.
