Airline ticket for In-Processing

For the bed and breakfast program go to the USAFA website. Select the Alumni/AOG tab on the left. Then click the link in the middle of the next page. Select for Parents on the upper left side. Select In-Processing on the left. You can then read about what it says. It has a link in the middle of the page that is for the Bed and Breakfast Program that AOG sponsors.

Note: I called earlier last month and ask why the link was not working and they said it was not time yet. Was going to call today but all AFA and base are closed due to the blizzard.

There have been many positive posts of cadets who used this service. Our son is a very people person, and I think he would like this better than staying in a hotel by himself especially if the host was a prior cadet, AFA instructor, or AF.

^^Very helpful information, just finsihed signing up, hopefully I can recieve a host! =)^^ Looking foward to meeting the future c/o 2013.

Is this the page for registering, as an appointee, to B&B? https://www.usafa.org/Events/Register.aspx?id=59
I tried filling out only the "Registrant" section, but it seems to want me to fill the "Additional Information" as well. The "Additional Information" section looks like it's for hosts, not appointees.

you'll notice all the kids that are on their way to the academy... they'll be all the somber-looking ones :) hahaha

i was like that last year. tons of people will have their boots.. and you'll see that they gather round and talk in the gates at the airport. it's a fun time.. best advice i can give about the day before is to get yourself mentally ready for a rough 5.5 weeks. it'll be extremely challenging, hard, (sometimes) funny, but extremely rewarding. and you'll know people who quit because it's not for them. you need to know why you came to the air force academy; you'll get asked that ALOT. have firm reasons. and "to fly" shouldn't be the number one or only thing. having a better chance to fly may be on that list though.. it's certainly still on mine even now, almost a year later.. you'll question your reasons frequently, so make sure that they're sound..

enough threadjacking! :)
