Okay so I'm freaking out... yesterday was my last day at home before I left for the academy and so I decided to hang out with a few friends. I had about 2.5 beers and am worried that I will fail the drug test. Right now I am on a diet that consist of a gallon of water every day. Should I be concerned??

In about 3 hours after consumption, all the illegal alcohol (~2.5 ounces) will be cleared from your body regardless of how much excess water you drink.

Relax about the medical/physical aspects of drinking the alcohol.

Concern yourself more with why you felt it was OK to break the law and whether or not you will lie about it when(if) you are asked.

From what I remember last year, they only asked us if we have abused alcohol or used illegal drugs. As long as you don't have a drinking problem (this is under the assumption you have not done any drugs), you should not be caught in an ethical dilemma. Probably not the best decision to drink, though, as I'm sure you are aware.

Seriously, the topics people are posting about in SAF these days are "faith lost in humanity" type reads. Besides the utter stupidity of the poster, seriously thinking or failing to take the two seconds to google alcohol metabolism while believing alcohol lingers in your system for weeks just blows my mind. America's best and brightest...

I'm thinking it's the same troll that posted about being stupid and smoking pot.
Sad that I've become so cynical. :frown:

As long as you didn't go over 2.65 you'll be ok. What happened to the remaining .5?
