ALO Evaluation Missing?

    On the USAFA Portal my ALO Evaluation has disappeared but my application still says complete. Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do about it?

    I'm looking at my portal right now, and I don't see a box anywhere for the evaluation. But I also don't remember if there was one earlier. So I'm not sure right now. Best option is email your USAFA Counselor. They will be very busy though.

    If the ALO hasn't completed it, it will say
    Items left to complete (or something like that): ALO interview, Candidate writing sample (whatever).
    Once the eval has been completed, that disappears and it should say
    Status: Candidate
    Application: Complete

    Okay, thanks. I had the ALO interview done a while ago, so I didn't remember.

    I really wouldn't worry about it if your application says "Complete". Complete is complete.

    If the evaluation is missing, I'm sure that USAFA would get right on the ALO to get it done. Take a few deep breaths, remain calm. :) There's nothing more for you to do but wait & keep working out/running.

    What ive been saying since August. My ALO said he submitted it a week ago but it hasn't been acknowledged on my portal. When I called my counselor he just told me it hasn't been received, so idk what to think at this point besides taking deep breaths so I don't strangle someone around me.

    I can understand your frustration! What I've heard from the ALOs on this forum, if they don't get the evals in, THEY get the calls from USAFA.

    I believe your ALO when he says he sent it in a week ago. I'll bet the counselor is looking at the same data you are on your portal. I suspect the app your ALO uses doesn't submit his data to the same database as the counselor's. Someone probably reviews it & then releases to the portal.

    DS only had it noted on his app, in red, when it was missing -- before his ALO had sent it in. It was the last thing he needed before his application was "Complete." Once it was sent it, the notation that the ALO was missing just disappeared and his application was changed to "Complete." There was never a checkmark for the ALO on his.

    So I think you're fine.
