ALO interview question

Hello all, I just have a question about my ALO interview:

So I got a call today from my ALO, and she said if I can, to bring some "quotes" about myself from people who know and can evaluate me.

So does this pretty much amount to recommendation letters, or how should I go about this?

Thanks all!

It means precisely what it said.

Don't try to read too much or too little into what an ALO is asking. This sounds to me like the ALO would like to know what other adults think about YOU!

"...one of the more trustworthy students I know..."

That little statement would say a LOT to me.

Just an example.

Thank you greatly Sir!

I just really want to be top notch for this interview, I just don't want to blow it this late in the process!

Thank you greatly!

A lot of people worry about the ALO interview.

DON'T!

This is our chance to get to know you; to ask questions, probe, and to really get a feel for what makes you "you!"

HOPEFULLY the ALO has spoken with you, e-mailed, etc., more than once...I typically meet with my candidate 3-6 or more times before the "interview" which really, at that point, is just a "let's go over all I have and you tell me what I'm missing" type meeting.

Our role as ALO's is to help USAFA find the BEST candidates...but it's also our role to help our candidates to BE the best candidates!!! :thumb:

All that's left on DS's AFA App

is the CFA, this Friday, and the ALO's Eval. The Interview was approx a month ago, shouldn't it be done by now, or is that last and applied to the App when the App is done? DS doesn't want to bother the ALO knowing the COL is busy, but it would be nice if its all done and dusted this week. Thanks....

I hate to put it this way but...

"It will be done when it's finished."

ALO's have a "turn it in by this date" on all Forms 4060. Depending upon the load this ALO has, he/she may be doing a BUNCH of them. And I promise, they'll be done in order of due date.

Example: I have 9 to do...I know a couple of kids are really anxious to see this "complete" in their system however....they're a month out and I have several that are due in the next week.

SO...where do you think my attention is?

Worry not...it'll be in on time and all will be well!

Makes sense, business world expands

to the time given as well. We know nothing about all this. An early Sept Interview seemed relatively early to meet. I got the sense it wasn't too intense, DS will be an IC athlete with the ability to compete on his own for a Nomination. It will definitely be in when it has to be, I appreciate the candor, although he's wishing for asap. Thank you.
