Am I Competitive?

Actually I thought it was 77 for the avg.

However, you are correct the min is never published.

Also, if memory serves me correctly, the way it works is even if you do not meet the min for 1, but max for all, you still bust the CFA.

Flieger would be the one to know if I am correct or if Alzheimer's has set in on me.

The flipside is if the board sees you as competitive and do not like your CFA scores, they will re-open the file to re-take it. ONLY THEY CAN DO THIS!

Keep working out because you want to be in the best shape possible for I Day. The AFA is really concerned about the alt. of the Academy.

I think your memory is fine....that is what my admissions counselor told me

Glad to know my memory is intact...aging does funky things to you!

The lesson for candidates and future candidates is to remember that every score matters. Don't rush it. As it has been stated, the mins are a well guarded secret. In 3 yrs here, people have continually asked the mins., and continually get the same answer...DON'T KNOW, but here are the Maxs.

Candidates who are starting the process for 16, start practicing the CFA now.

Traditionally the 2 aspects that people have problems with our the BBall and Pull Ups.

If you can't do Pull-ups, go to Sports Authority and buy a pull up bar that you hang in your doorway. Create a system.

I.E.
Week one: Everytime you enter or exit the room do 5 pull ups ---you'd be amazed how often you enter and exit your bedroom in a day.

Week two: Up the number to 7

Week three: Up to 9

Week four: Up to 12

So on and so fourth, by week 6 you will most likely be at the max of 18, if you are being diligent and honest of doing it every time you enter and exit!

You can down load the tips for the BBALL throw, but others stated it is more like a baseball throw, than Basketball...you are not aiming to get it in the basket per se.

Good luck.

Also if running is the issue, many times it comes down to your gait/stride. Talk to the track coach to have them critique that aspect. Sometimes people are taking to short of a stride in their run.
