i just got approved for USC's NROTC program. woot~ but now the real hurdles come for me: DoDMERB.

I had a broken right middle finger back in '05 playing football and its all fixed but still looks bent sideways when holding it up. But besides it's appearance, i can use it to its full potential before the fracture.

Also. in spring of '07 i recieved a minor fender bender and had a minor kink in the back while there was no problem and had to get it chiropractically adjusted for a few months. But after the treatments, my back is back to its full motion and health.

Is there any potential for a disqualification here? i didn't a physical yet but i'm just so nervous over how my scholarship depends on my medical history.....

p.s. I truthfully answered that i had an one time experience with alcohol but it was with my parent's when they said just try it for my 18th birth day..... fml.

Only ONE person can answer these questions: Mr. Larry Mullen, Dep'y Director of DODMERB.

His contact information is all over this forum; get it and drop him a message in the format he requests and he can help you with the answers you're looking for.

Disqualification Question

Hey, I hope everyone is doing good. I am currently applying for USNA and just got my nomination letter from Congressman Howard Coble the day after Christmas. I have a question about the disqualification of applicants. I am currently 21 years old and I'm about to graduate from a technical school with a two year degree and i'm trying to play baseball at Navy. My freshman year in high school I broke my ankle and had to have surgery on it. I presently have three screws in the upper part on my ankle and I am wondering whether this would disqualify me for an appointment. It has been almost 7 years and haven't had any problems since. I have played baseball every year since and was not sure whether I would be allowed to go to Navy and play baseball. Can anyone give me any insight on this issue.
