Anyone hear for AROTC?

Great post above! I always try to keep that in mind, especially while awaiting the decisions

As the parent "assigned" to checking the portal, I must report that it is a tedious task and extremely nerve wracking. DS was patient during first board and handled being reboarded well, but now is beginning to get anxious. He has heard from and been accepted to most of his choices and wants to initiate a plan.

I am grateful for these boards and all the encouragement and help that has so graciously been shared. I want to wish all the applicants the best of luck! The previous poster who said there is a plan for everyone is right. I am trying to trust that whatever is meant to be will be. As you wise people have stated on more than one occasion, those who are called to serve have many routes to achieve their goals and this is just one of them.

Has anyone noticed that the medcal statushas changed? My DS has his DODMERB done and hs been qualified for months now. His portal just changed this afternoon to to received. It has previously stated not received before, even up to this morning.

A long time ago the DoDMERB portal was the tip off to many candidates.

Tip-off:
AROTC typically does not order a DoDMERB medical evaluation until they have or are considering extending a scholarship offer. Please note I said "typically".

The status change noted above needs further information... what does the applicant data state? What Agency is listed below the Date/Event/Code table?

If it states Army ROTC Cadet Command, I would say that is a good indication that they are in the process of tendering a scholarship offer.

If it states US Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Miltary Academy, or Coast Guard Academy (or more than one of the SA's) then it is not related to an Army ROTC scholarship potential offfer.

This is the most stressful time in the waiting game. It seems the fuse has been lit at Cadet Command and now everyone is just waiting for the explosion of updates.

In the past couple years the results came out over a 2 to 3 day period. The results from the first board this year all seemed to be updated at one time. This could very well be the way they are doing it now and could account for the lag in getting the information out. Since Marist posted that the results are being loaded into CCIMS I would expect there will be status updates very soon.

Best of luck

My DS "Medical" on th Cadet Scholarship website just changed to "Recieved" also in the last 1/2 hours BUT he hasn't been requested to do the Medical yet...........don't know what that means or why it changed today

Understood. But I don't even have a dodmerb portal at all and have not done medical yet (because I haven't applied for an SA). That is normal correct?

Our son's Medical status changed as well today. He never applied to any of the SAs.

Just checked the portal...again...and my DS's medical staus has not changed. It still says "not received" and a DOdMERB packet has not been received. I'm beginning to think this might be a bad sign.

DS med status changed also and just yesterday received NROTC 4 yr. So, could this possibly be a "tip off" that CC is requesting med statuses? It sounds like that could be the case. Is there anyone who's med status did NOT change or not yet change?

I check every 30 minutes or so. There are always another bunch that have posted. No apparent pattern. Not alphabetical. Not by school or state of residence.
