Anyone heard from NROTC Scholarship Selection Board since 11-18?

I'm still waiting as well! My portal still reads "The NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application."

From NavyNOLA on another thread...

"The third board met 15-18 NOV. Results are typically out within two weeks of the end of the board. The next board is 29 NOV-2 DEC."

So we really should be hearing results of the 3rd board this week, I hope... and the 4th board is meeting this week. Good luck! Fingers crossed!

Hi. Trying to get some information here too. My DS had his application complete in August, received an ISR in late Sept but has still not been placed. Any thoughts as to when he may hear? Thanks!

Same here. I'm expecting to hear soon as per my PO's information. Knowing I have the ISR keeps me from stressing too much though. Good luck to your son!

Thanks, Blueplate! Hopefully the delay won't affect the unit he is looking to get placed into. Good luck you to as well!

Just curious, what do you mean by "placed?" As in placed in a school? Acceptance to the school has to come first, and those notices are sent out by the school with regular notices.

"Placed" as in which Unit I have a spot being held for me in. It will be one of my top 5 choices I pre-designated on my application, all of which I applied to (EA). It is more likely I will hear back from NROTC before those schools, so if I end up not getting admitted to the school at which the NROTC placement board has reserved a spot for me in, I can contact them and request a change.

Got it. Our family's experience is that you won't be placed until you get accepted to the school. As well as after completing DoDMERB. And they'll put you in your number one selection if you get in. If you want one of the others, then you can request the change. But you probably know that. My son and daughter were both told by selective school NROTC officers to put a safety school first because if the selective school didn't work out they didn't risk the safety school's detachment filling up before they could request a change. You should be hearing from EA applications in mid December. But how did you find 5 EA schools? That's impressive. Most are restrictive. Of my daughters 11 schools only three allowed EA to others schools in addition to their school.

That is not how it worked for our DD (2014) and DS (2015). Both of them found out they got their NROTC scholarships, which were both "placed" (or awarded) to their number one school choices, early in the selection cycle. Neither of them had been admitted to these top schools, nor completed DoDMERB, when they got these scholarships awarded to their #1 choices. Things are always changing in these processes, though, so maybe they are doing it differently now.
