Anyone know their MAX?

Yeah, I believe those are correct. You have to account for, however, the day before and the day after as travel days. So the dates I received, for example, are Max 1: 15 May - 12 Jun. The days you have are the actual training days, if I'm not mistaken.

You are correct.

By the way, I got Max 1 - my number one choice!

Shocker a cadet from TX wants to be there in May.

Sorry I had to say it.

The Summer Field Training is held at Maxwell "Max" Air Force Base and each session is numbered. Hence, " Max 1 or Max 4".

Can someone explain what a MAX is, exactly?

Am I experiencing deja vu or wasn't that asked and answered only 15 posts ago?

Yes jabba.

I am betting you were:worship::worship::worship: for Max 1 or 2.

I am betting when you got Max 1 you were :jump1::jump1::jump1:

Max 2. I wanted one but I had a final less than 24 hours before my departure date..uh no bueno.

2 gives me a couple weeks of prep time but it's still early in the summer

You fill out a form stating dates for commitments you have over the summer (ie: classes, weddings, etc).

While I don't recall any time where they've scheduled anyone for FT during classes, most of what you put on the form is for the "consideration" of the Air Force but they don't have to give it to you (from what I've seen, generally they follow through on requests).

Yes, but remember you should rejoice because May/early June in Alabama is not as hot or humid as it is in July! Chances are you won't see 1 day of 100 degree weather...can't say the same for Max 3-6. I wouldn't be shocked if they will have at least 1/3rd of their SFT registering 100 degrees.

The yr DS went they hit over 100 degrees for 10 days in a row, and that was before the heat index.

Max 4: ~10 days of "lightning in five" haha
