I'm currently a junior in high school and I've applied for all of the summer programs sponsored by the academies, except for AIM as the application is not yet available. However, I began contacting my ALOs, BGOs, etc. and getting familiar with ROTC scholarship applications and nomination procedures. It seems as though there isn't much I can do on the nomination front except RSVP for "Academy Days" that some of my Congressmen are holding in the spring. Is there anything else I can do so that I'm more proactive in this process, or should I just be a little more patient and focus on maintaining my activities?

Thanks in advance for any and all help! :)

I'd say mainly focus on your junior year. And, you know, keep up with SAF. But, if you do feel super anxious, I'd start drafting your nomination/appointment essays and asking for recommendation letters from teachers. They get swamped with recommendation letters in the fall from the other seniors, so sometimes it's best to ask in the spring of Junior year. At least, that was my experience. Play your sports, get good grades, enjoy your friends, and practice for your CFA! Any other more direct questions, feel free to PM me! Best wishes! :thumb:
