AOG sponsored prep billing questions

DS has just received NMMI's prebill statement this afternoon, which does not show West Point's $4,000 scholarships and the expected NMMI scholarship ($12,902) being credited . The cost billed for the Fall 2023 semester alone is nearly $13,000, significantly higher than what we anticipated of $6,000 for the entire year. DS has already written to the NMMI admission officer for clarification but is waiting for a response.

Is this a billing error or have we misunderstood something? How much are others paying with the AOG scholarship, regardless of their chosen prep school?

I’m currently a WPAOG at MMI so I cannot guarantee the information I am providing, but to my knowledge MMI and the WPAOG takes an extremely long time to process. During my first semester, many of the books and other expenses were covered under the assumption that the school would be paid for by the scholarships that WPAOG provides as well as the prep school themselves. All of the AOGs here didn’t get our payments cleared until November, and even then it still was chaotic. Have your DS reach out and make sure he checks in with the FA office as much as he can.
