Application Issues

Good morning everyone,

I am currently stuck on what to do and would like some advice. I have turned in all my documentation for my application. Although, my application still shows I need to turn in supplemental documentation (college transcript). They received my transcript January 16th and it has been uploaded and reviewed. But, my application still shows the transcript needs to be turned in and my application as "incomplete". But also says, "You have met the deadline of 1/31/2016 to be considered for an appointment." I have contacted my counselor numerous times and still receive the same information: the transcript is reviewed. I do not want to continuously bug my counselor if it is benign, but this is my career on the line, not theirs. Does anyone have guidance or experience within this area?

I'm a reapplicant who also had to send in a first-semester college transcript. I had the same issue where the transcript was received and the deadline was met, but my application was "incomplete." In my case, a quick email to my counselour had my status as "complete" before the end of the day, so I find it odd that yours is still incomplete. I don't entirely know the nature of your situation, but perhaps a phone call is warranted. Maybe wait to see if one of the forum's sages has some better advice.

I have called multiple times. My friend has the same counselor and both of our phone calls take days for a answer, if we receive a callback/answer. I am starting to lose confidence in my counselor and am thinking of trying to contact another representative/counselor.

I would 100% just bug my counselor until it got fixed. Maybe not every hour, but I would send an email every other day. I had to turn in my optional recommendation letters and didn't want to mail them because I was running out of time (I know the candidate kit says turn them in early. I'm not going to make excuses. It was my own fault.). Anyway, I emailed him explaining the issue and asked if I could attach them. No response. Two days later I sent a similar email and attached them anyway. They were received and reviewed a week later. Somehow a week after that they were received and reviewed again so it looks like I have two copies of them.

As a point of clarification, there are two areas on the "Online Application Status" browser window where there could be information about documents which you have submitted. That is either in the section of the window where it says "Documents" and in the "Required Forms" section. Does the transcript appear in both places? Additionally, in the "Required forms" Section do you have check marks for every item?

If things are in one place and not the other that could be a reason for your application still showing as incomplete. It might be that they haven't finished their processing of the document.

If the information is in your documents section and the required forms section indicates everything is Received and Processed as well as having check marks, then I think an email inquiry might be justified. If you do decide to email admissions, rather than asking "if the transcript has been reviewed" perhaps you should inquire as to whether the "incomplete" is an indication that there is something else which you need to provide.

Also, I'm not certain as to where on the status page you can verify that your ALO's interview writeup has been submitted. Has the ALO confirmed this to you?

If you are worried about interacting too frequently, you could wait until next week for firing off the email. Also, email might be better than a phone call or voice message. In any event, it's most likely that this is due to their being very busy at this point in time. Good luck.

The transcript shows under documentation. For required forms, all boxes are check marked (including ALO). Except supplemental documentation requesting "1) Transcript for College Classes..."

I sent a follow up email yesterday, further inquiring about the incomplete status. If I do not receive a response by Monday I plan to re-email or contact another representative.

Also, thank you everyone for the advice! I truly appreciate it.
